This applies to the Shoutout product, and Shoutout Featured Experience (whitelabled) products.

Scenario

Policy

Can a fan cancel a Shoutout request anytime before the Creator delivers the Shoutout and get a refund?

Yes

  • Who pays the gas fee for the refund if the payment was made in $USDC?

Can a fan edit a Shoutout request anytime before the Creator delivers the Shoutout?

Yes

How long does the Shoutout need to remain on the Creator’s account for it to count?

At least 24 hours

  • If the Shoutout does not remain on the Creator’s account for at least 24 hours, does the Fan get an automatic refund?

Yes.

If the Fan isn’t happy with the Shoutout, do they get a refund?

No

Does a Creator need to explicitly decline Shoutout requests?

No. They can just ignore it (and optionally message the fan to tell them “sorry” or whatever + the reason for the decline). Or.. the fan will eventually get tired of waiting and cancel the request to get trigger a refund.

When should the Payout be released to the Creator?

The moment Calaxy can verify the shoutout was on the Creator’s account for 24hrs. (At the 24hr mark)

If the Creator doesn’t respond to the Shoutout by the expiry time (the time the Fan needs the shoutout), what happens?

The shoutout will expire (cancel) and the fan will be refunded.

  • Who pays the gas fee for this refund if the payment was made in $USDC?
